| TLR Edge Effects TLR
Edge Effects is a collection of Photoshop actions for adding
popular edge effects to your photographic images.
Adding an edge effect begins by invoking one of the "Create
Framed Edge" or "Create Unframed Edge" actions from
the actions menu. Use one of the "Create Framed Edge"
actions to add an optional black "Frame" layer for added
visual impact.
After creating a framed or unframed edge, you should blur the edge
using "Gaussian Blur Edge." If you prefer, you can also
blur the black frame using "Gaussian Blur Frame."
There are two sets of effects in the action set. Edge effects and
texture effects. Edge effects affect the edge area. The Gaussian
Blur of the edge and frame affect how those effects diffuse around
the center of the image. Texture effects do not respect the edge
boundary. They instead affect the entire image.
Available edge effects include:
| Frosted Glass |
Rippled |
Spatter |
| Graphic Pen |
Rough Pastels |
Sprayed Strokes |
| Pixelated |
Smudge Stick |
Water Paper |
Available textures include:
| Canvas |
Grainy |
Sponge |
| Craquelure |
Halftone |
|
| Distorted |
Patchwork |
|
You can control each effect by adjusting the settings as the various
action steps run.
Make sure to run this action AFTER all of your edits are complete.
The actions will convert the image to 8-bits per channel.
The actions will create a Layer Set/Group in Photoshop CS/CS2/CS3.
In earler versions of photoshop, multiple layers will be created
without a Layer Set.
Enjoy!
