THE EQUIPMENT
The Canon 1Ds MKII is simply the finest Digital SLR available.
Designed for the demanding pro, this camera possesses a full
frame 35mm CMOS imaging chip. According to independent test
reports, it is the first DSLR to surpass color film in both
resolution and color accuracy.
The Canon 20D, a prosumer Digital SLR possesses many of the
features of the Canon 1Ds MkII with a lot less weight and
bulk.
A series of Canon EOS "L" lenses (the lenses preferred
by professionals for their sharpness, accuracy, speed, and
build quality) offer lots of flexibility. When coupled to
the 1Ds MkII, the 17-40mm provides a full 17mm field-of-view.
The 24-70mm is a superb all-around lens for cityscapes, portraits,
and general photography. The 100-400mm lens is ideal for nature
and wildlife photography and also for candid shots of people
from a distance. The 180mm Macro lens is tack sharp and one
of the finest lenses ever made for the 35mm format.
